o terceiro "Barcelona Festival of Song" já está confirmado para julho
próximo, naquela cidade que foi berço de Granados, Mompou, J. Nin,
Conxita Badía, Victoria de Los Angeles e tantos outros grandes nomes da música
catalã e espanhola. Em cunho de homenagem à eminente cantora e
professora de canto catalã Conxita Badía, a quem até Villa-Lobos dedicou
uma canção, o Festival foi fundado pela soprano Doutora Patricia Caicedo, da
Colombia, que vem fazendo um trabalho extraordinário de divulgação da
canção latino-americana tanto na Europa quanto nos EUA. O repertório
vocal brasileiro de câmara estará mais uma vez representado, desta vez com
uma abertura especial para as canções com acompanhamento de violão,
além de canto e piano. Será mais uma oportunidade de divulgar a
riqueza e singularidade da nossa música neste âmbito
de abrangente latinidade ibérica. Aceitamos sugestões
quanto ao repertório para voz e violão e contribuições de partituras,

to to present you the official poster of 3rd <EM><FONT face=Garamond
size=4>The Barcelona Festival of Song.</FONT></EM> It was designed by
the Colombian artist Daniela Violi inspired in the modernist art of
Barcelona. The original will be exhibit at the opening exhibition of the
Festival on July the 4th. </FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face="Arial Narrow"><EM><FONT face=Garamond size=4>The Barcelona
Festival of Song</FONT></EM> is a space created for the purpose of
promoting the Latin American & Spanish Art Song repertoire, a rich and
wonderful repertoire that, after decades of dormancy, is seeing a rapid
increase in live performances, recordings and in interest and
prominence. The Festival commissions a renowned Ibero-American composer
to create a new cycle of songs that is debuted during the festival. Among the
faculty are some of the most important & internationally renowned
scholars, teachers & performers of the Latin American & Spanish art
song genre. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Arial Narrow"></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Arial Narrow">In 2007 the Festival is opening a complete
section dedicated to guitar and guitarist. Guitarist will have the opportunity
to learn Flamenco, Classical & Latin American Repertoire with some of the
finest performers in the world. <STRONG></STRONG></FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face="Arial Narrow">Each of the participants at the Festival will
have his/her own personalized development program, designed around his/her
unique abilities, level of development & goals. The goal is to
reinforce their strengths and to identify and overcome their weaknesses.
