caipira Gustavo Costa (professor de violão do Curso de Música pela USP de
Ribeirão Preto e que agora inicia também suas atividades de ensino em Viola
Caipira), que executará na viola caipira o <EM>Concerto em Ré maior </EM>de
Vivaldi, assim como um repertório de clássicos caipiras para viola caipira
solista e orquestra em versões sinfônicas assinadas por Renado Kefi e por

style="FONT-SIZE: 13pt; COLOR: black"> vem sendo considerado um dos principais
violonistas brasileiros de sua geração. Foi premiado em concursos no Brasil, na
França e no prestigiado <I>Certamen Internacional de Guitarra Francisco
Tárrega</I>, na Espanha, onde recebeu, em 2003, o segundo prêmio do júri e o
prêmio votado pelo público. Como camerista, Gustavo Costa tem atuado junto a
grandes músicos brasileiros, dentre eles o Quarteto Brasileiro de Violões, o
violinista Cláudio Cruz e o tenor Fernado Portari. Como solista, possui em seu
repertório os principais concertos para violão e orquestra, tendo sido solista
frente à Orquestra Filarmônica de Estrasburgo (França), à Orquestra <I>Ciudad de
Torrent </I>(Espanha), à Orquestra Sinfônica da USP, à Orquestra Sinfônica de
Ribeirão Preto, à Orquestra Sinfônica de Limeira e à Orquestra Petrobrás
Sinfônica do Rio de Janeiro. Natural de Ribeirão Preto, Gustavo Costa iniciou
seus estudos musicais com Geraldo Ribeiro de Freitas. Em 1994, ingressou no
Instituto de Artes da UNESP, onde estudou sob a orientação da violonista Gisela
Nogueira até 1998. No mesmo ano, foi convidado por Franz Hálasz a
especializar-se em violão na <I>Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg-Augsburg</I>
(Alemanha), onde estudou até 2001. Durante este período foi bolsista do KAAD e
obteve dois diplomas: o <I>Diplommusiker</I> e o <I>Meisterklassendiplom</I>, a
mais elevada titulação em performance deste país. Ainda em 2001, seguiu para
França, onde estudou até 2004 na classe de Pablo Márquez, do Conservatório de
Estrasburgo. Defendeu Mestrado, em 2007, e atualmente cursa o Doutorado em
Musicologia sob orientação do Prof. Rubens Ricciardi, junto à ECA-USP, onde atua
também como docente (Violão e agora também Viola Caipira) no Departamento de
Música de Ribeirão Preto.</SPAN><SPAN
