Seja organizando eventos desde sua concepção, seja criando o contexto ideal para que um artista apresente o seu trabalho, nossa atividade é guiada por duas diretrizes. Primeiro, destacar em cada evento a contribuição que a cultura brasileira pode dar à pesquisa musical internacional que acontece em Amsterdã. Segundo, possibilitar que músicos brasileiros possam se beneficiar do contato com um ambiente tão ativo e inovador, para que compreendam sua própria cultura melhor e encontrem novos caminhos para o seu crescimento. </font><br>

A Nieuw Ensemble é uma das orquestras de música contemporânea mais prestigiadas da Europa que, por mais de 20 anos, colabora com compositores de diversos países, incluindo grandes mestres como Brian Ferneyhough, Elliott Carter, Tan Dun e Franco Donatoni. </font><br>

As peças selecionadas por um júri unternacional serão executadas pela Nieuw Ensemble em setembro de 2009, integrando o importante festival de música contemporânea Gaudeamus Music Week 2009. Os compositores das peças ganhadoras serão convidados a participar dos ensaios e première de suas composições em Amsterdã. <span> </span></font><br>
