<p style="padding-top: 0pt;" class="paragraph_style"> performance, philosophy, physiology, prehistory, psychoacoustics, psychology, semiotics, sociology, statistics, and therapy. </p>
<p style="padding-top: 0pt;" class="paragraph_style">CIM especially promotes collaborations between sciences and humanities, between theory and practice, </p>

<p style="padding-top: 0pt;" class="paragraph_style">The first Conference on Interdisciplinary Musicology (<a title="http://www-gewi.uni-graz.at/staff/parncutt/cim04/" onKeyPress="window.open(this.href); return false;" onClick="window.open(this.href); return false;" href="http://www-gewi.uni-graz.at/staff/parncutt/cim04/">CIM04</a>) was held in Graz/Austria, 15-18 April 2004.</p>
<p style="padding-top: 0pt;" class="paragraph_style"> CIM04 was open to all musical research questions; it was hosted by the European Society for the Cognitive Sciences of Music (ESCOM) </p>
<p style="padding-top: 0pt;" class="paragraph_style">and the Department of Musicology, University of Graz and endorsed by 24 participating societies. </p>
<p style="padding-top: 0pt;" class="paragraph_style">The second Conference on Interdisciplinary Musicology (<a title="http://www.oiccm.umontreal.ca/fr/activites/index.php" onKeyPress="window.open(this.href); return false;" onClick="window.open(this.href); return false;" href="http://www.oiccm.umontreal.ca/fr/activites/index.php">CIM05</a>) was held in Montreal/Canada, 10-12 March 2005. </p>
<p style="padding-top: 0pt;" class="paragraph_style">CIM05 focussed on the theme of <span class="style">Timbre, </span>and was hosted by the Observatoire international de la création musicale (OICM)</p>
<p style="padding-top: 0pt;" class="paragraph_style"> and the Faculty of Music of the University of Montréal. The third Conference on Interdisciplinary Musicology (<a title="http://www-gewi.uni-graz.at/cim07/" onKeyPress="window.open(this.href); return false;" onClick="window.open(this.href); return false;" href="http://www-gewi.uni-graz.at/cim07/">CIM07</a>) was held in Tallin/Estonia.</p>
<p style="padding-top: 0pt;" class="paragraph_style"> The theme of CIM07 was <span class="style">Singing.</span></p>
<p style="padding-top: 0pt;" class="paragraph_style"> The fourth Conference on Interdisciplinary Musicology (<a title="http://web.auth.gr/cim08/index2.htm" onKeyPress="window.open(this.href); return false;" onClick="window.open(this.href); return false;" href="http://web.auth.gr/cim08/index2.htm">CIM08</a>) took place in Thessaloniki/Greece from 2-6 July 2008. </p>
<p style="padding-top: 0pt;" class="paragraph_style">The theme of CIM08 was <span class="style">Musical Structure</span> from the viewpoint of all musically and musicologically relevant disciplines.</p>
<p style="padding-top: 0pt;" class="paragraph_style"> CIM08 has been hosted by the Department of Music Studies, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.<br>

<p class="paragraph_style">The fifth Conference on Interdisciplinary Musicology (CIM09) will take place in Paris/France from 26-29 October 2009. </p>

O SARC é um centro de excelência, dedicado à pesquisa da música e a tecnologia.
Este projeto interdisciplinar único convocou compositores e programadores
internacionalmente reconhecidos e especialistas nas áreas da composição musical,
processamento de sinais, o desempenho, internet e tecnologia digital hardware.
O Centro encontra-se estabelecido em Belfast (U.K).
Entre os dias 6 e 7 de abril teremos um evento importante no
Departamento de Artes da Universidade Federal de Paraná com a visita de professores
e compositores residentes em várias instituições européias, e em especial do
