Dear List:

A Reminder. Being aware of the busyness of the early days of Fall
semester, we are extending the Call for Articles Submission deadline
for the first issue of ARPEGGIONE to OCTOBER 31, 2005.

The aim of ARPEGGIONE is to broaden the vistas of Schubert research and
to promote greater multidisciplinary approaches to the study of the life
and work of Franz Schubert. Such study will include all aspects of
Schubert scholarship and performance from the fields of general history,
music history, musicology, music theory, performance studies and
history, reception history, and the arts and humanities. While the
focus is on scholarship, we wish to make ARPEGGIONE accessible to the
non-specialist contributor and reader. All contributions to these pages
will adhere to the best scholarly and literary standards and practices.

ARPEGGIONE opens its pages to scholarly articles, reviews, essays,
forums, and working notes. The journal's preferred language is English.
Authors of non-English-language submissions are responsible for
providing their manuscript in English. Submission in another language
will be subject to editorial decision.

We ask that initially you send only a 500-word abstract by October 31,
2005 to <ArpeggioneD821 em schubertsocietyusa.org>. After editorial review
and determination, the contributor will be requested to submit copies of
the complete manuscript article of 10,000 words maximum including
bibliography and notes in a format delineated in the ARPEGGIONE:
Guidelines for Contributors and Submission Categories. The Guidelines
will be provided to the author at the time of this request.
