Hello,

I hope that people might find this information of use.

The Journal of Experimental Music Studies (Jems) has a newly uploaded
article:

Rob Haskins,'Another Look at Philip Glass: Aspects of Harmony and Formal
Design in Early Works and _Einstein on the Beach_'.

You can access this article - and all of the _Jems_ articles - on
http://www.experimentalmusic.co.uk/ . Just follow the link to the
_Journal of Experimental Music Studies_.

NB: If you have a Mac OS X computer, you may find that some browsers
will show encrypted music examples on some of the articles as being
'expired'. This is a Java incompatibility which we are working to fix.
In the meantime, you can view the articles without problem if you view
them through Safari. Other systems and Macintosh OS versions seem to be
unaffected.

Call for Papers

_Jems_ is always interested in submissions of articles on experimental,
free improvisation, and postmodern music. We would especially be
interested in articles on composers born in 1936, to be uploaded in the
next year. For information and submissions, see the publication
information on the Jems pages, or contact Virginia Anderson, editor of
Jems, at jems em experimentalmusic.co.uk .
