[ANPPOM-L] CFP: Simpósio Internacional de Acústica Musical

Prezado colega acústico-musical,
Como membro do Comitê Científico Internacional do ISMA 2007 (-
Simpósio Internacional de Acústica Musical- http://isma2007bcn.org/ ,
gostaria de divulgar amplamente o mesmo e convidá-lo a apresentar 
trabalhos que reflitam o
seu envolvimento acadêmico e artístico no campo.
O ISMA 2007 será realizado na maravilhosa cidade de Barcelona 
(Catalunha-Espanha) entre 9 e 12 de setembro de 2007, logo após o seu 
evento co-irmão ICA (International Congress of Acoustics - Madri, de 2 a 
7 de setembro, http://www.ica2007madrid.org/).
Infelizmente, este convite não implica em nenhuma oferta de ajuda 
material e financeira
para sua participação no ISMA 2007, mas estou certo de poderemos juntos 
nos empenhar em conseguir fundos, caso sejam necessários(?), com o 
fornecimento de cartas-convite e
documentos da eventual aceitação de seu paper contribuído.
Seria muito importante que a comunidade brasileira de pesquisadores e 
artistas ligados à
acústica musical estivesse mais bem representada numericamente neste evento.
Os prazos são bastante curtos, conforme referidos abaixo, e a data mais 
urgente é a da
submissão do resumo, ATÉ 15 de MARÇO de 2007, impreterivelmente.
Conto com seu interesse, colaboração e participação neste evento. Eu 
particularmente já
tive o privilégio de participar do ISMA97 (Edinburgo), ISMA 2002 (Cidade 
do México) e do
ISMA 2004 (Nara, Japão), que foram fontes de ricas discussões, 
performances, convívios e
amizades dentre os membros da comunidade acústico-musical mundial.

The International Symposium on Musical Acoustics ISMA 2007 is 
traditionally held just
after the ICA - International Congress on Acoustics (under the auspices 
of the
International Commission for Acoustics, ICA). As in the case of the 
previous conferences
in this series, ISMA 2007 will bring together international leaders of 
the musical
acoustics field. Though its dimension is much smaller than the latter, 
the participation
of well-recognised scientists from all over the world ensures a high 
quality. The choice
of Barcelona as hosting city is due not only to the geographical 
proximity to that of the
ICA 2007 MADRID but also to the fact that there are several local active 
research groups
in this field. Moreover, the conference coincides with the opening of 
the new Barcelona
Museum of Music. A visit to the new museum is included in the regular 
ISMA program.

The congress venue

The Institut d’Estudis Catalans (Institute of Catalan Studies, IEC) was 
founded in 1907.
It is an «academic, scientific and cultural corporation whose main goal 
is scientific
research, especially research that involves all the elements of Catalan 
culture».
The corporation has its main headquarters in Barcelona, but its sphere 
of action covers
all the geographical areas with Catalan language and culture.
In 1922, the IEC was accepted as a full member of the International 
Union of Academies
(IUA).
Today the Institut brings together a large part of the scientific elite 
of the
Catalan-speaking world. The members are distributed among the five 
sections of this
institution: History and Archaeology, Biological Sciences, Science and 
Technology,
Philology, Philosophy and Social Sciences.
The IEC is highly respected by the public powers, and has a powerful 
influence on the
Catalan society.
