[ANPPOM-L] CFP: International Council for Traditional Music (ICTM) Study Group for Musics of East Asia

The deadline for the submission of proposals for the First Conference 
of the International Council for Traditional Music (ICTM) Study Group 
for Musics of East Asia has been extended to August 1 , 2007. The 
conference will be held at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music from 
December 20 to 22, 2007.  Proposals for either individual papers or 
presentations of new compositions are welcome.  Conference themes and 
submission guidelines can be found at the Study Group's website:

For those attending the ICTM conference in Vienna this coming July, 
the East Asia Study Group will be holding an informal business 
meeting sometime during the conference (tentatively scheduled for the 
evening of July 10), in order to discuss future conferences, plans 
for the study group, and so on.  Anyone interested in music and dance 
in, of, or from East Asia (broadly defined) is welcome to attend!
