Pianist Polly Ferman to Perform Concerts in Sao Paulo, Brazil on August 22,
23, 25 and 26

Uruguayan-American pianist Polly Ferman will be giving five concerts in four
days in Sao Paulo, Brazil on the following dates:

Friday, August 22 at the Teatro Popular do Sesi, located at Santo Andre, Pça
Dr Armando de Arruda Pereira, 100.

Saturday, August 23 at the Teatro Municipal de São José do Rio Preto, on Av.
Brigadeiro Faria Lima.

Monday, August 25 at the Auditorio Simon Bolivar at the Oscar
Niemeyer-designed Latin American Memorial.

Tuesday, August 26 - Recitals at Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil, at 1 and 7
PM, Rua da Quitanda, in Sao Paulo

All these recital performances will include selections from Ms. Ferman's
large repertoire of music of the Americas.

Polly Ferman has been called "musical ambassador of the Americas" by the
Japan Times. One of the leading interpreters of the music of the Americas,
she continues to captivate audiences with her outstanding performances of
works by Gottschalk, Nazareth, Gershwin, Villa-Lobos, Ginastera and
Piazzolla. Her extensive tours as a soloist have included performances with
the Symphonies of San Francisco, Colorado, Vancouver, and Indianapolis, as
well as the Tokyo Philharmonic, Kharkov Philharmonic Orchestra (Ukraine),
Philippines Philharmonic, Sao Paulo State Symphony and the National Symphony
of Argentina in addition to recitals in New York's Carnegie Hall, Tokyo's
Suntory and Takemitsu Halls, Virginia's Wolf Trapp, London's St. Martin in
the Fields, Koncert Halle of Munich, and the Buenos Aires Colon Theatre.
Ferman was the only soloist selected to play at the Pan American Games of
1992, where she performed Villa-Lobos with the Indianapolis Symphony
Orchestra. She recently performed to great acclaim in Cuba with the
all-female chamber group Camerata Romeu.

Her numerous recordings constitute one of the most extensive collections of
solo Latin American repertoire and are available on Music Masters, Musical
Heritage Society, PAMAR, Talent Romeo Records, EPSA Music and Sondor. She is
