*Ninth Annual National Meeting of the American Synesthesia Association, Inc.

The Board Members of the ASA are pleased to announce that the Ninth Annual
National Meeting of the American Synesthesia Association, Inc., will take
place October 14 thru 16, 2011, at the University of California San Diego.
The conference will take place in the Garren Auditorium located in the
Biomedical Sciences Building on the School of Medicine Campus.


The conference will be hosted by Dr. Vilayanur S. Ramachandran, Director of
the Center for Brain and Cognition and Professor in the Psychology
Department and David Brang of the Psychology Department, and made possible
by the Board Members of the ASA, Sean Day, Lawrence E. Marks, and Carol
Steen.


The Board Members of the ASA invite the submission of abstracts from
individuals wishing to make a presentation on any of the following: a
scholarly paper, a discussion of creative aspects of synesthesia, a reading,
a presentation of visual artwork, audio compositions, or video
presentations. If you are interested in being considered for a presentation,
please submit an abstract, no longer than 250 words.


Include your name, e-mail address, telephone contact number, and a short
resume (no more than two pages) or web-link to same. The number of
presentation slots will be limited, so there is no guarantee that a
submission can be accepted. Individuals are urged to attend even if they do
not intend to make a presentation.


Please also list any audio/visual equipment; including podium and microphone
that you might need for your presentation. Please plan to limit your
presentation to 20 minutes (not including an additional 5 minutes for
Questions & Answers) in length.


Our abstract review board is representative of the diverse interests,
talents, and approaches to exploring and experiencing synesthesia. It
includes artists, linguists, historians, and scientists, some of whom are
synesthetes themselves.


* DEADLINE for Abstract Submission: June 10, 2011.

NOTIFICATION will be after June 19, 2011.

* Please submit your abstract, etc. on the ASA website.
