Many apologies.

There will be no requirement to carry out research.

The post is offered full-time, term-time only for 10 months from 1st September 2014 (approximately 0.7 FTE).

Teaching work will include:
- First Year Harmony and Counterpoint seminars
- Backup seminars for the First Year Music History modules (with a particular focus on these period of Western Art Music history: medieval, renaissance, baroque and classical; some seminars on C19th, C20th, popular and world musics may also be required).
- Backup seminars for the Second Year Music Analysis module.
- While teaching within a set syllabus, the appointee will be expected to prepare some of his/her own teaching materials in order to deliver effective tuition to students.
- Appointees will be required to mark formative and summative assessments for the modules they are teaching (e.g. weekly harmony  exercises, history module listening tests and exams).
