  *Elegibilidade*

The Kurt Weill Foundation Grant Program awards financial support to
not-for-profit organizations for performances of Kurt Weill's musical
works, to individuals and not-for-profit organizations for scholarly
research projects, and to not-for-profit organizations for educational
initiatives directly related to Weill and/or Lotte Lenya. All applicable
institutions or individuals across the globe are welcome to apply.
 *Valor Financiado*

There are no set amounts given in KWF's grant program. KWF grant
applications are reviewed by an independent panel of experts in the field,
who make recommendations as to whether a project should be funded, and if
so, how much funding should be awarded.

Grant amounts vary according to several factors: the merit of the applicant
and project, the total budget of the project, the amount of budget
shortfall reported by the applicant, and precedents established regarding
similar applications in the past.
  *Requisitos*

The Foundation welcomes proposals from producers and not-for-profit
broadcasters to support programs that feature Kurt Weill's life and/or
music. A complete description of the project must be accompanied by a
written commitment from the broadcaster.
  *Critérios de Seleção*

Grants will be awarded on an objective and non-discriminatory basis, with
selection criteria to include:

   1. Relevance and value of the project to the Foundation's purposes;
   2. Quality of the project;
   3. Evidence of the applicant's potential, motivation, and ability to
   carry out the project successfully;
   4. Evidence of the applicant's prior record of achievement in the field
   covered by the project;
   5. Potential impact of the project (readership, size of audiences,
   related broadcast/telecast/recording).

  *Restrições*

Musical adaptations and proposals in which the music serves in an
incidental or background capacity are not eligible for funding. Compilation
properties consisting solely of Weill's songs do not qualify for support.
Costs for new translations or adaptations of dramatic works are not
eligible for funding (although the productions themselves may be).
Proposals for retroactive funding of projects or performances will not be
accepted.
