*Descrição*

The Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation was established in
December 1975 in accordance with Aristotle Onassis' last wish to honor the
memory of his son, Alexander. Culture, education, the environment, health,
and social solidarity come first on the agenda of the Alexander S. Onassis
Public Benefit Foundation.

The Program for International Scholars
<http://www.onassis.org/en/scholarships-foreigners.php> covers scholarly
research and the organization of lessons/seminars or lectures provided by
the fellowship recipients, as invitees of a public Greek University, in
Greece only and in the fields stated above.

The Programme covers the following fields only: humanities (philology,
literature, linguistics, history, archaeology, philosophy, educational
studies, psychology); social science (sociology, international and european
studies, political sciences, sociology); economic science (maritime
studies, finance, public finance) and arts (art history, visual arts,
music, dance, theatre, photography, film studies, new media, cultural
administration).

*Elegibilidade*

The educational program is intended exclusively for non-Greeks: members of
national academies, university professors of all levels, PhD holders,
post-doctorate researchers and doctoral candidates.

The program will be offer in the following Categories:

*Category A:* university professors of all levels (PhD holders) - full
professors,
associate professors, assistant professors and lecturers;
*Category C:* educational scholarships - postgraduate research
scholarships, postgraduate students and PhD candidates.

*Valor Financiado*

Provisions of the fellowships:

*Category A*: a monthly allowance of €1,500.00 for subsistence,
accommodation and all other expenses. A round trip air-ticket from and to
the country and place where the grantee permanently resides for the
beginning of the scholarship and upon definite departure from Greece that
amount up to €1,000.00;
*Category C*: a monthly allowance of €850.00 for subsistence, accommodation
and all other expenses. A round trip air-ticket (economy class) for the
scholarship recipient only for the beginning of the scholarship and upon
definite departure from Greece.
*Prazo de Execução*

*Category A*: three months during the academic year October 2016 -
September 2017;
*Category C*: from five to ten months during the academic year October 2016
- September 2017.
*Requisitos*

Any correspondence with the Foundation as well as the
nomination/application forms and all supporting documents - certificates,
letters of recommendation, degrees, diplomas, university transcripts. Must
be written and submitted in one of the working languages of the Foundation
- Greek, English or French. Otherwise, they must be translated in one of
those languages and the copies must be legalised by Public Authority.

The letters of recommendation must be strictly addressed to the Alexander
S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation, Foreigners Fellowships Programme.
Please note that photocopies of letters of recommendation will not be
accepted. The letters can be included in the candidate's file or be sent
directly to the Foundation by the referees.
*Restrições*

No allowance or air ticket is provided to the grantee's spouse or
dependents.
