O programa oferece *até 10 bolsas* destinadas a jovens doutores em qualquer
área do conhecimento, que foram recentemente contratados em caráter
permanente em Instituições de Ensino Superior brasileiras*.*

Os candidatos selecionados poderão realizar pesquisas, ministrar palestras
e/ou apresentar cursos/seminários para a pós-graduação em Instituições de
Ensino Superior ou Centros de Pesquisa nos Estados Unidos, com duração de
três ou quatro meses.

Dear Colleagues



The Indiana University Jacobs School of Music has an agreement with
Fulbright Brazil to get a Brazilian music scholar to come to IU for a
semester as a visiting professor. The program has been expanded to include
applications from the fields of Visual Arts, Folklore, Ethnomusicology,
Spanish and Portuguese, History, Anthropology, Theater, and Contemporary
Dance. For this coming round of applications the preference is for people
involved in the areas of jazz, Latin jazz, or other improvisation-based
forms of Brazilian music, particularly if they are experienced performers..
However, all other areas will be considered.



Please feel free to pass this along to any colleagues that you might know
in Brazil. Due to some internal bureaucratic issues at the university
level, the call for the 2019-2020 years has gone out a bit later than
usual. The deadline for application is September 23 so I would be grateful
if you could help spread the word.
