We are pleased to announce that the submission deadline for the 19th
Brazilian Symposium on Computer Music (SBCM 2025) has been extended to June
16, 2025. The conference will take place from September 15 to 17, 2025, at
the Convention Center – CDC – UNICAMP.
All submissions must be made via the SBCM 2025 submission portals:

SBCM 2025 welcomes submissions in the following categories:
Full Papers – Submissions must present original research (6 to 8 pages) on
technical, musical, or interdisciplinary topics at the intersection of
computing and music. All submissions will undergo a double-blind
peer-review process, and both the written paper and the oral presentation
must be in English.
Scientific tracks include, but are not limited to:

Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Music Information
Retrieval

Software Development for Musical Applications

Computational Musicology

Musical Cognition and Computer Music

Real-Time Musical Systems for Improvisation and Telematic Performance

Sound Spatialization and Immersive Environments
Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings with ISBN
and DOI. A selection of papers will be invited to submit an extended
version to the Brazilian Journal Musica Hodie. For journal guidelines,

Performances and Artistic Works – We invite proposals for performances and
artistic works that explore the intersections between computing, music, and
other artistic and technological practices. Submissions must include a short
paper (up to 4 pages) that presents the methods used in developing the work
and/or a motivation of how the work relates to the conference scope. Both
the artistic documentation and the accompanying paper will be considered in
the evaluation process.
ENCM – Escola Nacional de Computação Musical – As part of SBCM 2025, the
ENCM aims to encourage the participation of undergraduate and graduate
students in computer music research and related areas. It includes the
following categories:

Scientific Papers (up to 4 pages): Research in progress or completed
studies, which may be written in Portuguese, English or Spanish. Accepted
papers may be presented orally or in poster format. Selected contributions
will be invited for publication in the REIC – Revista Eletrônica de
Iniciação Científica em Computação (ISSN 1519-8219), with DOI indexing.

Reports from Research Groups, Studios, or Collectives (4 to 8 pages):
Descriptions of current practices, methodologies, or ongoing or completed
projects in the fields of computer music and sound creation.

Workshops and Tutorials: Proposals for practical or conceptual training
activities related to computer music, addressed to students or the wider
academic/artistic community.
