The Art of Record Production
September 17-18 2005
University of Westminster, Marylebone Campus, London

The second CHARM symposium forms part of The Art of Record Production,
an international conference which aims to build bridges between academia
and industry, and which CHARM (Centre for the History and Analysis of
Recorded Music) is co-hosting with the London College of Music and
Media, University of Westminster and MusicTank. CHARM's invited
speakers will address different aspects of the musicology of production
and there will also be a round table devoted to this subject.

The Art of Record Production conference will offer an unparalleled
opportunity for international academics and researchers to meet with
front-line producers, manufacturers and record label veterans to debate
and map out the future of record production. This inaugural event
comprises a mixture of keynote speeches, industry panels and the
presentation of some 32 key research papers; bringing together
industry's sharpest and most innovative players from both classical and pop.

Invited conference speakers include: Robin Millar, Muff Winwood, Pip
Williams, Tom Frederikse, Ted Fletcher, Michael Haas, Simon Frith, Allan
Moore, Colin Lawson, Albin Zak, Paul Theberge, Francis Rumsey and Fran
Nevrkla.

Registration: £180 (full weekend), £100 (conc)
