*PhD Scholarships at the University of Aarhus*

The University of Aarhus is inviting students interested in pursue a PhD
to apply for one of its scholarships. The university has ambitions of
increasing the number of PhD students at their five graduate schools.
There are currently approximately 1,000 students enrolled in PhD degrees
at the university, and during the course of the next few years, it is
expected that this figure boosts to 2,000 PhD students.
The University of Aarhus offers four-year PhD scholarships and
three-year PhD fellowships. The PhD scholarships are intended for
students who have yet to complete a Master's degree, but who have the
ability and ambition to complete a PhD degree within four years. The
three-year PhD fellowships are intended for students who have already
passed a course of education corresponding to a Master's degree, and who
are thus ready to begin PhD studies.
The university hopes that highly qualified, top-motivated students from
all over the world will regard these scholarships as an opportunity for
completing an internationally recognised PhD degree programme that will
qualify them to play a distinct role in the knowledge society of the
future.

*Data Limite*
There are two application's round each year: in May and November. The
next deadline is 15 November by 12.00 noon, Danish time.
*Elegibilidade*
_4-year PhD scholarships_: To be considered for a 4-year PhD
scholarship, you must have passed a qualifying examination that
corresponds to 240 ECTS credits (e.g. a Bachelor's degree allocated 180
ECTS credits as well as Master's degree examinations that correspond to
60 ECTS credits, or a Master's degree allocated 240 ECTS credits).
_3-year PhD fellowships_: To be considered for a 3-year PhD fellowship,
you must have passed a qualifying examination that corresponds to 300
ECTS credits (e.g. a Bachelor's degree allocated 180 ECTS credits and a
Master's degree allocated 120 ECTS credits).
*Valor Financiado*
A _4-year PhD scholarship_ consists of two parts. For the first two
years (part A), the recipient gets a monthly payment of approximately
DKK 9,700. For the last two years (part B), the recipient is employed as
a PhD research fellow and gets a monthly salary of approximately DKK
25,400 incl. pension and holiday pay. In the transition from part A to
part B, a Danish Master's degree is obtained. The transition from part A
to part B also requires that part A has been satisfactorily completed.
A _3-year PhD_ recipient is employed as a PhD research fellow for three
years and gets a monthly salary of approximately DKK 25,400 incl.
pension and holiday pay.
