CIRMMT is pleased to announce a one day joint workshop on wind instruments, co-organized with the Consonnes project (ANR-CNRS) and the OICCM. DATE:  Wednesday Feburary 20, 2008 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.LOCATION: CIRMMT, 527 Sherbrooke Street West, A832TITLE:  Wind Instrument Workshop DESCRIPTIONThe workshop on wind instrument will be the opportunity to meet and share ideas with researchers in the acoustics modeling and motion capture of wind instruments, and to highlight possible interdisciplinary approaches to the study of wind instruments, and outcomes for performance, composition, etc. DETAILSThe morning session (9 a.m. to 12:30 a.m.) on "physical models of wind instruments", and the afternoon session (2 p.m. to 5 p.m.) on "signal analysis, perception, and motion capture of flute" will balance talks and round tables in order to facilitate discussions.
