AMS Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Study Group Call for 
Graduate Student Papers

The program for the 2008 annual meeting of the AMS-LGBTQ Study Group 
will be "A Graduate Student Forum for New Research." We are soliciting 
proposals from graduate students for 10-15 minute presentations 
describing their work on LGBTQ topics. Presentations should also address 
general topics of interest to the LGBTQ scholarly community such as new 
research challenges; new sources or theories; new or unexamined genres, 
composers, and historical eras; new articulations of gender and 
sexuality through music. These presentations need not be formally 
delivered papers, but they should be well organized.

Please send a proposal of 250 words describing your research topic and 
organized presentation as an email attachment to Judith Peraino <jap28 
at cornell.edu> by August 1, 2008. The program committee will select 
three or four presentations from those submitted. Decisions will be made 
within two weeks of the submission deadline.
