 Job description

Curtin University is now calling for applicants for its Research
Fellowships, including streams for early career researchers, senior
researchers and Indigenous researchers. Fellows are funded for four years
(research only) or five years (research and teaching), including additional
research fund support.

The Faculty of Humanities at Curtin is providing support for applicants
from humanities-related disciplines for these Fellowships.

The Faculty of Humanities has three priority areas for its research:
Creative, cultural and critical inquiry; New knowledge environments; and
Sustainability. These encompass a wide range of research and creative
practice across four schools (Built Environment; Design and Art; Education;
and Media, Culture and Creative Arts) and multiple centres; most notably
the Australia-Asia-Pacific-Institute; Centre for Culture and Technology;
Curtin University Sustainability Policy Institute; and Centre for Human
Rights Education. The Faculty’s special-focus fields of research are
Building; Urban and regional planning; Specialist studies in education;
Communication and media studies; and Cultural studies.

Curtin Research Fellowships Curtin Research Fellowships for commencement in
2016

The call for applications in 2015, for commencement in 2016, refers to a
targeted research-only fellowship with two streams:

   1. *Early Career Researcher Fellowship:* Suitably qualified applicants
   who have been awarded a PhD on or after 1 March 2010.
   2. *Senior Research Fellowship:* Suitably qualified applicants with more
   than five years post-doctoral experience.

application system unless you qualify for the Curtin Research Fellowship
2016 – FastTrack Option.
FastTrack option

If you have recently applied for an ARC/NHMRC Fellowship scheme and would
like to be considered for a Curtin Research Fellowship, Curtin invites you
to submit your full ARC/NHMRC application directly to:

ORD-Fellowships em curtin.edu.au

Along with the submission of your application, please ensure that you
complete and attach the required FastTrack Applicant Details Form.

A completed Certification Form should also be attached with your submission.

Note: Your application is not lodged until you have received an
acknowledgement email from the ORD Fellowship Officer confirming receipt of
your application and required documents.

Successful applicants will be appointed as a staff member within the
recruiting area sponsoring the fellowship application. It is therefore
critical that the potential fellow liaise directly with the appropriate
head of recruiting area prior to submitting an application to ensure that
the proposed project and activities align with the area’s strategic plan.
Applications without the signature of the appropriate head of recruiting
area to confirm support will not be considered.

The fellowships are not restricted to Australian citizens.

Applicants must have completed a research doctoral degree.
