*Descrição*

The Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation (CCKF) for International Scholarly Exchange
is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Taipei, the capital of the
Republic of China on Taiwan. It also maintains a regional office in McLean,
Virginia near Washington D.C. in the United States. The Foundation's goals
are strictly limited to the academic sphere, in which it aims to support
scholars and institutions worldwide in their pursuit of research on Chinese
civilization, and to promote cooperation and exchange between domestic and
foreign academic organizations.

The Foundation's programs encompass four regions: the Domestic region
(Taiwan), the American Region (the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central
and Southern America), the European region, and the Asia-Pacific region
(including Hong Kong and Macau). Grant programs differ among the four
regions. For the American region, CCKF offers the Scholar Grants

faculty on sabbatical, or for time off for research and writing.

*Elegibilidade*

Tenured faculty, including full professors and associate professors may
apply for this grant. Brazilian citizen affiliated with a Brazilian
university is eligible to apply to the American region programs.
*Benefícios*

The grant amount is up to US$40,000.00 or US$35,000.00, for full professors
and associate professors respectively, to help replace half of the salary
of faculty on sabbatical, or for time off for research and writing. If
grants from other sources are also awarded to the applicant, the
Foundation’s grant, when added to the others, should not exceed the
recipient’s annual salary.
