FIRST EDITION OF THE GOLDBERG MUSICAL ESSAY COMPETITION

The First Goldberg Musical Essay Competition is open to all musicians, musicologists,
researchers, scholars and others with an interest in the dissemination of music, who are
invited to submit original articles not previously published in any printed or electronic
medium. Articles may, however, be based on research papers, doctoral theses or other
academic papers written by the author of the article. Entries are limited to three articles per
candidate.

The prize-winning articles will be given prominent publication in the Spanish and English
language editions of Goldberg Magazine after January, 2008. The Competition will award three prizes of 3,000, 2,000 and 1,000 euros, respectively, to the best three articles submitted. 

Articles must be sent by 00.00 hours, 30th October, 2007, to the following address:
oliviagimeno at goldberg-magazine.com. Receipt of all submissions will be acknowledged. 

In addition to their competition entries, authors are requested to submit a short CV of up to 500 words, as well as the following contact details: postal address, E-mail address and telephone number.

The Jury will meet and publish the results of the competition before 1 January, 2008. The
winners will be directly notified by the Jury.
